Blablio is a free language game (word puzzles and memory) that you play in your browser. We care about your privacy and collect as little data as possible. In this policy we explain which data we use, why, and what rights you have under the GDPR.
You can play Blablio without registering. Your progress (words played, streak, stars, settings) is stored locally in your own browser (localStorage) and does not leave your device, unless stated otherwise below.
If you use the Travelers list, your chosen name and a coarse indication of your activity (for example “active now”) appear to other players who are online at that moment. This only happens if you opt in; you can remove yourself from the list again at any time.
If you chat one-on-one with another traveler, we store those messages on our server so we can deliver them — for up to about 90 days, after which they are deleted. Messages are filtered for profanity, and you can block someone or report a message; we may hide and review reported messages. Choose a decent name and be respectful.
Blablio uses functional storage (localStorage) for your progress and Google Analytics cookies for anonymised statistics. No third-party advertising cookies are placed.
We do not keep scores and shared challenges longer than necessary for the operation of the game (shared links expire automatically). We retain IP addresses for abuse prevention only briefly. Local progress is stored in your browser and you can erase it yourself by clearing your browser data or via the reset button in the app.
We share data only with the AI and infrastructure services needed to make the app work (as mentioned under "AI features"), and only for that purpose. These parties process your data as processors on our behalf.
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data and to withdraw consent. To do so, please contact us at the email address below.
Blablio is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without the consent of a parent or guardian. The Travelers list and chat are likewise intended for a general audience and not directed at children; blocking and reporting are always available.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The date at the top indicates the most recent change.
